EA teases screenshot of possible next-gen Need for Speed game

Electronic Arts posted a screenshot of a Koenigsegg, a high performance sports car, on the official Need for Speed ANZ Facebook page today, possibly teasing the upcoming Need for Speed title due for next-generation consoles.

The image is captioned with "Have no rules, show no mercy." and "Police Pursuit" is emblazoned along the sports car's flank.

EA will reveal the next-generation Need for Speed title during its E3 press briefing which is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on June 10. During its briefing, the company will also unveil a "first look" at its Star Wars plans, and will show off FIFA 14, NBA Live 14, Madden NFL 25 and EA Sports UFC, which were showcased during Microsoft's Xbox One event earlier today.

The Need for Speed movie adaption began filming in Georgia earlier this month. Directed by Scott Waugh and featuring Michael Keaton, the film is slated to release on Feb. 7, 2014.
