Metro: Last Light developer 4A Games is planning four DLC packs for the post-apocalyptic first-person shooter, and players can pre-purchase all of them with the game's $15 season pass, publisher Deep Silver announced today.
The season pass is now available on Windows PC and PlayStation 3 for $14.99, and on Xbox 360 for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15). It costs £11.99 in the U.K. and €14.99 in Europe. PlayStation Plus subscribers can pick up the pass for $11.24, a 25 percent discount, from May 21 to June 4 in the U.S. and from today to June 5 in Europe and the rest of the world.
The first two pieces of DLC, the Faction Pack and the Chronicles Pack, will expand Last Light's single-player story. The Tower Pack will offer a single-player challenge that 4A said today is designed for Metro veterans, and the Developer Pack will give exploration tools to creative players. The season pass also includes a new weapon: the Abzats, a semi-automatic shotgun that can deploy six shells simultaneously.
The studio did not announce a release schedule for all four packs except to say it plans to launch them "throughout the summer." The Faction Pack is set for release in June.
According to Andrew Prokhorov, creative director at 4A Games, there are still "stories to tell, some familiar locations that fans of the Metro series wanted to revisit and some new challenges that 4A wanted to explore."
