Rebellion Developments' World War 2 tactical shooter Sniper Elite V2 on the Wii U reportedly omits cooperative play, according to gamers on Miiverse.
Sniper Elite V2 launched on the Wii U on May 21 and was released in spring 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions all featured online co-op.
The Wii U version also didn't ship with the downloadable content previously released on the other platforms. Earlier this year, Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley told Nintendo Life that the lack of DLC was due to the studio "concentrating on making sure the core game is as good as it can be."
The Wii U version introduces new features and allows gamers to play completely on the GamePad controller without the TV. Using the GamePad, gamers could track enemies, set traps, monitor explosives and manage their weapons and inventory.
Polygon reached out to Nintendo and 505 Games for more information and will update this post as it comes to hand.
