Real Boxing, Vivid Games' portable boxing simulator, is entering the PlayStation Vita ring in the U.S. this August, the developer announced today.
The Vita version will be available as a PlayStation Network download and will offer both touch-based and physical controls. Powered by Unreal Engine 3, Vivid touts the game's devotion to realism, with each punch motion captured and single, career and training modes with customizable fighters available.
"Real Boxing is as close as you can get to the real sport without lacing up a pair of gloves and getting in the ring," said Remi Koscielny, CEO of Vivid Games. "We've put everything fans love about the sport of boxing into the Vita, making it one of the most comprehensive sports titles available for the system."
Real Boxing is currently available as a universal app on iOS on sale for $0.99 and Google Play for $3.99. It will also make its way to the Nvidia Shield, which will begin shipping in June. You can check out screenshots of the PlayStation Vita version above.
