Fuse demo coming to PSN and XBLA May 7

A demo for Insomniac Games' co-op shooter Fuse will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network May 7, publisher Electronic Arts announced today.

The demo will allow up to four players to participate in online co-op or two players in split-screen. All four main protagonists — Dalton Brooks, Naya Deveraux, Jacob Kimble and Izzy Sinclair — are available for testing, allowing players to try out each character's unique skills sets and weapons. EA notes that online co-op requires use of an Origin account.

The demo will take players to a weapon depot in a snowy environment, on a mission to track down a source of Fuse, a deadly alien energy source that can be harnessed as a powerful destructive tool.

Fuse will launch on May 28 in North America and May 31 in Europe for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
