Icarus Online trailers show mounted aerial combat, CryEngine 3-powered visuals

WeMade Entertainment has released a pair of new trailers for its upcoming MMORPG Icarus Online showing off the game's vistas powered by Crytek's CryEngine 3.

Icarus Online (not to be confused with Guns of Icarus Online) allows players to tame wild beasts and use them as mounts for aerial combat atop their backs. While most of the combat shown in the trailers is of the on-foot variety, there are a few glimpses of Icarus Online's sky-high battles as well. Combat in Icarus Online is similar to that of last year's TERA, where abilities and skills must be manually aimed instead of automatically firing at a selected target.

Videos of the game's five classes — Berserker, Guardian, Priest, Assassin, and Wizard — in action can be found at Steparu.

Icarus Online does not yet have a scheduled release date in the West, though it does appear on WeMade Entertainment USA's website.
