The House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels includes Vectorman's Ball Gun

The House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels, the recently released mobile version of Sega's on-rails shooter, includes Vectorman's Ball Gun, according to a post on the Sega Blog.

Vectorman's weapon and its particle effects will be familiar to players of Blue Sky Software's 16-bit-era side-scrolling shooters, which used pre-rendered 3D models similar to Donkey Kong Country to create the futuristic world.

The Ball Gun replaces the game's standard minigun. The pricey upgrade will set players back about 70,000 in Kash, The House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels' in-game currency which can be earned or purchased with real-life money. The Sega Blog post advises players to pick Combo Upgrades, the Combo Extender Consumable, increase the game's difficulty and play levels that they can S rank to amass the cash to buy the Ball Gun.

The House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels, a "remixed" version of Headstrong Games' shooter that was originally released for Wii in 2009, launched late last month for mobile devices. You can buy the $4.99 app in the iOS App Store and on Google Play.
