Crysis 3 developer Crytek is welcoming you to the jungle once again with The Lost Island, multiplayer DLC for the game that will be released June 4 for $15, publisher Electronic Arts announced today.
It will be available on Windows PC and PlayStation Network for $14.99, and on Xbox Live Marketplace for 1,200 Microsoft Points.
The DLC pack, the first for Crysis 3, adds four new maps to the game: Coastline, Creek, Crossing and Ascent. They're all set in the west Pacific — the same region as the original Crysis. Alien traces have been discovered on an island in the Philippines, 200 miles from the Ling Shan islands of Crysis and Crysis Warhead, and the island will be the site of a new battle between the Cell corporation and Rebel forces. The Lost Island also brings in two new multiplayer modes, Frenzy and Possession.
"By transporting players out of the Liberty Dome and into the Lost Island setting, we're not only returning to Crysis' spiritual roots, but also introducing fresh ways to play that provide Crysis 3 fans with genuinely game-changing new tactical options, game modes and weapons," said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli in a press release today. The studio teased tropical DLC yesterday, and achievements leaked earlier this month hinting at an upcoming map pack.
