Bennett Foddy's Speed Chess and three new titles to debut at South by No Quarter

Split Tree, Killer Queen, There Shall Be Lancing and Bennett Foddy's Speed Chess will be making their debut at the second installment of South by No Quarter, presented by Juegos Rancheros.

The event will feature the latest game from Bennett Foddy, the developer of QWOP, GIRP, CLOP and Poleriders, with Speed Chess, the 16-player high-speed deathmatch chess game. Watch the video below to see Speed Chess in action. The designer of iPhone puzzle game called Async Corp, Matt LoPresti, will have his two-player and one-controller, social puzzle game named Split Tree playable on the night.

Sophie Houlden's aerial jouster There Shall Be Lancing will also be playable. Houlden developed Swift*Stitch and The Linear RPG. The line-up will also include Nikita Mikros and Joshua DeBonis's massively multiplayer action game, Killer Queen. The duo previously created Propaganda Lander and Meriwether.

The free event kicks off on Thursday, June 6th, at 7:00 p.m. ET at North Door, 501 Brushy Street, Austin, Texas. The show is open to public and attendees are encouraged to RSVP via the event's official Facebook page.

The first South by No Quarter event was held in Austin last year and featured games such as BaraBariBall, Guts of Glory, Nidhogg, TENNNES and Hokra.
