El Shaddai IP sold to game director's venture Crim

Crim, the company headed by El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron director Takeyasu Sawaki, announced today its purchase of the El Shaddai IP from Ignition Entertainment.

According to Ignition (as translated by Gematsu), the sale entails "prequel, sequel and all other derivative rights of the existing game." A Crim representative stated the company "will work with the entertainment industry to develpo a potential El Shaddai business moving forward."

In celebration of the acquisition, Crim plans a celebration event at the Asagaya Loft A in Tokyo on Aug. 12, running from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
