PlayStation Store back in Korea May 16 for users 18 and up

The PlayStation Store will reopen for South Korean PlayStation 3 consoles May 16, Sony Computer Entertainment Korea announced.

According to the post, which we have translated with the help of Google, the store shut down due to the "Game Industry Promotion Act," which made it illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to verify online accounts using their name or age. The PlayStation Store has been offline since last July, and those affected will receive a free PlayStation Plus subscription for a month.

The PlayStation Store will now only be available for those 18 and older.
