Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection, a compilation of Metal Gear Solid games from 1987 to 2012, has been priced in Japan on Konami's website and will be available for $7,980 yen ($80).
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection was announced April 22 exclusively for PlayStation 3. The pack will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition, as well as two digital graphic novels from Ashley Wood. The collection is currently listed for release in July, though the original announcement dated it for June. The website also lists a "Konami Style" edition for 7,182 yen ($72).
A specific date and price for a North American release has not yet been announced. Hideo Kojima recently revealed that the collection would not come to Xbox 360 because of the large data size of Metal Gear Solid 4.
