Xbox will make an appearance at this year's Gamescom as Microsoft makes plans to reveal the "next chapter of Xbox gaming experiences," according to Xbox EMEA social marketing manager Graeme Boyd.
Taking to Twitter, Boyd acknowledged he will be at this year's event in Cologne, Germany, adding: "Xbox will be back at gamescom this August. "Next chapter of Xbox gaming experiences" on show. Can't wait, LOVE gamescom."
This is a change from last year when Microsoft announced its plans to focus on smaller and more localized promotions, opting out of both Gamescom 2012 and the 2012 Tokyo Game Show.
Gamescom 2013 will run from Aug. 21 to Aug. 25.
