Social games company Zynga has teamed up with Eat Sleep Play, the studio known best for its work on Twisted Metal: Black and Warhawk, to develop a new casual iPhone title Running with Friends.
This newly released iOS game marks Zynga's transition from a developer of casual browser-based titles to a broader mobile games development firm.
Running with Friends is the seventh game in the company's stable of With Friends titles. In it, players are tasked with running away from a stampede of bulls, escaping the bulls within a given time limit by changing lanes, jumping over, and ducking under objects in the level. These levels are both endless and dynamically generated; however, they also increase in difficulty the further the player gets.
Users can expect to find a number of wearable costumes for their characters, in addition to integrated branding inserted into the game as part of a partnership between Zynga and Dunkin' Donuts. Paying players won't have to see the latter, however.
Running with Friends is launching in nine different languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Zynga has yet to announce a version for Android devices.
