A new gameplay trailer from Square Enix shows Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 heroine Lightning Farron in action both in and out of combat.
Set to the game's main battle theme "The Savior," the trailer pits Lightning against a number of enemy monsters, from giant axe-wielding statues to massive dragon beasts, as she tries to track down her former ally Snow. The trailer also shows how Lightning traverses environments out of combat, climbing ladders and sliding down poles.
When Polygon last saw Lightning Returns, we found that the action-based combat made the title one of the "more novice-friendly Final Fantasy titles in some time."
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 hits Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February 2014.
