Destiny of Spirits has been announced as a free-to-play Vita title.
The 2D RPG is being made by Q Entertainment and SCE Japan Studio and features the tagline "lead your spirits into battle." The trailer advises players to "let the Destiny engine guide you" with suggestions of much individual unit-upgrades and battle formation selections.
Sony applied for a patent for the brand back in March. A post on PlayStation Blog said the game will involve collaboration with friends, expanding collections of units, or 'Spirits'. Different regions around the world offer separate collections of units, which can be traded.
