NBA Live 14 developer EA Canada discussed the game for the first time at EA's E3 2013 press briefing, highlighting physics-based dribbling technology dubbed BounceTek.
Executive producer Sean O'Brien came out onstage with Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers to explain that with BounceTek, the basketball is separated from the hand in every dribbling animation. According to O'Brien, that allows for unprecedented creativity in getting around defenders.
NBA Live 14 is in development on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It's unclear whether the trailer O'Brien showed contained gameplay video or more CG footage.
