A full remake of the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee called Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty is coming to the PlayStation 4, Sony announced during its E3 2013 press conference today.
The game was developed in conjunction with Oddworld Inhabitants and Just Add Water, the developers behind the Oddworld series remaster. The reimagining will retain the level designs and puzzles of the original, but with "slight modifications" and it will also ditch the old game's scrolling.
Oddworld founder Lorne Lanning and developer Stewart Gilray first premiered the remake at the 2012 Eurogamer Expo. And Just Add Water announced in February that it was working on content for PlayStation 4.
New N' Tasty! will also launch in Fall of 2013 for Xbox Live Arcade, Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Oddworld Inhabitants-developed Abe's Oddysee was released in September, 1997 for the PlayStation, Windows PC and DOS.
