Klei Entertainment's randomly generated survival game, Don't Starve, is coming to the PlayStation 4, Sony revealed during its E3 2013 press conference.
In Don't Starve, players take on the role of Wilson, "an intrepid Gentleman Scientist," who must use science and magic to survive the bizarre monster-filled island. It also features unlockable playable characters with different abilities.
Sony announced during its PlayStation 4 reveal in February that it will allow independent developers to self-publish on its next-generation console. Independent developers will not to be able to self-publish games on Xbox One, Microsoft revealed in May, not without partnering with Microsoft Studios or a third-party partner.
The developer self-published Don't Starve on Windows PC and Mac via its own website and on Steam. For more information about Don't Starve, see our feature on Klei Entertainment where we discuss the birth of the studio.
