Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze coming to Wii U

Nintendo announced today plans to launch a new title in the Donkey Kong series, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

The title allows for two-player co-op with both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong working together to save Donkey Kong Island from invading vikings from the North Sea. Dixie Kong will also be available as a playable character, offering different abilities to two previous characters.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will feature HD graphics, and for the first time include various camera angles as the player explores the island, while dynamic scenes will show previously hidden areas. The upcoming title is scheduled to release later this year.
