Witcher 3: Wild Hunt dev diary talks Geralt's new journey from the top of a cliff

A new video from CD Projekt Red features three members of the development team on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt discussing the third installment in the story of monster slayer Geralt.

"The time has come to say it loud and proud," says senior writer Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewcz from the top of a dramatic cliff face, "We're hard at work on The Witcher 3."

Gameplay producer Marek Ziemak and environment artist Jonas Mattsson shed some light on the game's scenario from equally dramatic real-world locations. The Wild Hunt is an ancient evil, says Mattsson, a "cavalcade of ghastly spectral riders" led by four horsemen who prey on the human race. Their chief target this time is the one person Geralt considers King, whom he must protect.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC some time in 2014.
