Spartacus Legends gets a bloody trailer and a release date

Free-to-play fighting game Spartacus Legends will release on Xbox Live Arcade on June 26 with a PlayStation Network release later this summer, according to a new trailer.

Titled "Will of the Mob," the trailer gives an overview of the game, which tasks players with managing a gladiator stable in ancient Rome. Players must recruit slaves with the greatest fighting prowess to become gladiators, train them and equip them properly, and then send them into the arena to win or die.

Developed by Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Mortal Kombat: Unchained studio Kung Fu Factory, Spartacus Legends is loosely based on the Starz original series Spartacus. Though the end of the trailer has a PC logo alongside that of XBLA and PSN, no PC release date has been announced.
