Armikrog, the claymation spiritual successor to The Neverhood, could make its way to Wii U, according to a recent update on the game's Kickstarter page.
According to co-creator Mike Dietz, Pencil Test Studios, Inc. was contacted by Nintendo shortly after E3 2013.
"We're talking to them about the possibility of releasing Armikrog on the Wii U," Dietz wrote. "There's nothing concrete to report yet, but we're encouraged by their interest and we'd like to see it happen."
Armikrog was announced in late May. The game is a point-and-click adventure following space explorer Tommynaut and his alien companion Beak-Beak as they try to escape from the fortress Armikrog.
Armikrog is currently being developed for Windows PC, Mac and Linux. The Kickstarter campaign has raised $615,000 of its $900,000 goal with the help of 12,753 backers. It has five days left to reach its funding goal.
