Trion Worlds' free-to-play massively multiplayer online game Rift will receive several new souls, companion upgrades and more, the developer announced during a livestream.
The updates were documented by player-centric site RiftScene. According to the site, Rift will soon receive a Support Cleric, Healing Warrior, Tanking Mage and Healing Rogue. Additionally, the game's companions will play a larger role. In addition to new abilities, companions will level up.
Trion Worlds also announced that its 3.0 expansion will be about the plane of water. Water will play a bigger part in the game's lore and Rift will feature more underwater zones.
Rift went free-to-play earlier this month alongside the launch of its 2.3 content update, Empyreal Assault. The update added new in-game items, bosses and a new area called the Dendrome.
