PixelJunk developer signs with LittleBigPlanet Vita creator

PixelJunk developer Q Games and the studio behind the PS Vita release of LittleBigPlanet, Double Eleven, have announced their partnership with plans to collaborate on new game projects.

Double Eleven is currently publishing a number of titles for release on PlayStation Vita including Limbo from studio Playdead and Mode 7's Frozen Synapse. The company recently ended its exclusivity deal with Sony.

"Double Eleven has an outstanding track record in video game development and we like their way of thinking when it comes to publishing," said president of Q Games Dylan Cuthbert. "Q Games is about making memorable experiences for everyone, and Double Eleven are the perfect partner to see our vision through."

So far their collaborations are under wraps; however, the companies will announce further details soon.

"Q Games bring a phenomenal amount of knowledge, creative ability, passion and, most significantly, games to the mix," said Mark South, COO of Double Eleven. "Most importantly, when we met Dylan and the team it became pretty clear that we would hugely complement each other's plans for making great games."

Q Games recently announced PixelJunk Inc. for release on Windows PC via Steam.
