Evo 2013 tournament schedule outlines three days of top tier fighting game battles

The organizers of the Evo fighting game championship series revealed the schedule for this year's tournament today, outlining three days of fighting game action from the world's best virtual fighters.

This year's tournament will feature nine games. On Friday, Evo 2013 will host the pools, semifinals and final matches for Mortal Kombat, Persona 4 Arena and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Friday will also see pools for Super Smash Bros. Melee and pools and semi-finals for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition.

Saturday will feature pools, semifinals and finals for Street Fighter X Tekken. Pools and semifinals for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Injustice: Gods Among Us and The King of Fighters 13. Additional pools and semifinals for Melee will also happen on Saturday.

Sunday is the main event, with final matches for Super Street Fighter 4 AE, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Injustice, Melee and The King of Fighters 13 playing out throughout the day.

Evo 2013 will be held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from July 12 to 14. The tournament itself will take place at Bally's Event Center ("Alpha Room") and Grand Ballroom ("Beta Room"). This year's tournament requires a pass to attend, with registration still open.
