World of Warcraft accounts at risk following increased unauthorized log-ins

World of Warcraft accounts could be at risk following a recent increase in unauthorized account log-ins via Battle.net and the World of Warcraft mobile armory app, Blizzard confirmed today.

The MMO's creator is notifying account holders who were not using an authenticator prior to unauthorized access of their accounts. Blizzard is monitoring accounts that are showing signs of unauthorized log-ins, including log-ins from an unusual IP address. Those who may have been targeted will receive an email breaking down how to reset your account.

The World of Warcraft auction house mobile app is now taken offline temporarily as a result. Customer support will restore in-game items and gold for any impacted account upon request.
