Colin McRae Rally is now available on the iTunes App Store in New Zealand, confirming a few days of teases from the Twitter account of developer Codemasters.
The iOS version — which will be released tomorrow, June 27, for $4.99 in North America and £2.99 in the U.K. — is based on Colin McRae Rally 2.0, the series' second entry, which originally launched in December 2000 on Windows PC and PlayStation.
Colin McRae Rally comes with 30 different rally courses located around the globe in places such as Australia, Corsica and Greece. Available rally cars include the Subaru Impreza, Ford Focus, Mitsubishi Evo VI and Lancia Stratos. The game also supports Game Center achievements and leaderboards. You'll be able to enter quick rally races, full rallies and full-on Championship events, according to the App Store description. The screenshots suggest the controls will consist of virtual buttons for gas and brake.
The most recent entry in the Colin McRae Rally franchise before this new iOS release was 2012's Dirt: Showdown.
