The developers of the tower defense, real-time strategy Anomaly games, which include Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Anomaly Korea and the recently released Anomaly 2 — have brewed their own video game-themed beer: Anomaly Warzone — Tower Offense Stout.
In a video explaining the beer, senior writer Pawel Miechowski said the idea came from the wife of one of the developers, who knows how to brew beer. The studio decided it would be a good idea to attempt to make the world's first video game tie-in beer from scratch.
Coincidentally, "warzone" in Polish means "brewed." The beer took two months to brew and only 40 bottles were initially made.
Anomaly 2, the game for which the beer ties into, is currently available on Steam and the Mac App Store.
