In a new behind-the-scenes video, Disney employees and Disney Infinity developers discuss the processes involved in creating a play set for the free-form create-a-game Toy Box mode.
Disney and Pixar films have recognizable and iconic characters that people have come to know and love over the years. "Our hope is, the characters we're creating inspire kids to take the characters and continue those adventures," says Tangled director Nathan Greno.
"A play set is a collection of the best elements you've seen in the property," says game director Troy Leavitt, and they pull from both Disney and Pixar films as well as Disney's TV and theme park properties. "I think what we're trying to do is make an extension of what is already familiar," says Brian Lefler, the game's head of story.
Disney Infinity hits most major platforms this August.
