CCP Games released a bizarre 2001: A Space Odyssey-parody developer video outlining the revamped scanning mechanics, user interface and exploration rewards featured in the upcoming expansion Eve Online: Odyssey.
The expansion will introduce features such as exploring site challenges, dual character training, storyline progression and dynamic travel transitions. Eve Online: Odyssey is scheduled to launch on June 4th 2013.
Earlier today, CCP took down the servers for Eve Online and Dust 514 due to "a significant and sustained" distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. According to its Twitter account, the company is close to resolving the issues.
Last month, CCP revealed that it is turning its focus to mobile development with plans to release an app for the MMO to mobile platforms by next year.
