An entry for The Last Guardian has made an appearance on E3 Insider, the convention's official news website, listing the game for PlayStation 3 and stating users should check back for screenshots and videos on June 11 when E3 2013 begins.
The entry is under Sony's exhibitor information for E3 2013 which reads in full: "Check out all the latest screenshots and videos for The Last Guardian, then come back here on Tuesday, June 11 for all the latest details, straight from the E3 2013 convention floor!"
Fumito Ueda, creative director of The Last Guardian, mentioned in February that the game's followers should "keep an eye out" for Sony to reveal details about the game's release.
SCEA senior vice president of product development and Worldwide Studios Scott Rohde told Polygon last year that The Last Guardian was not present at E3 2012 because it wasn't ready.
At the same time, Sony worldwide president Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer that the developers were tackling "technical difficulties" and didn't have time to get a demo together.
The Last Guardian was revealed at E3 2009. Ueda left production in December, 2011; however, he stayed on as creative director for The Last Guardian. The development team has been making "slow progress" since.
Polygon has reached out to Sony for comment and will update when further information is made available.
Update: A Sony spokesperson told Polygon: "I'm afraid the listing is purely speculative."
Update 2: The entry on the official E3 news website has been updated with previously released The Last Guardian screenshots.
