Remember Me launch trailer lays out the stakes in a world of commodified memories

A trailer out from Capcom marks the launch of Dontnod Entertainment's dystopian action-adventure Remember Me.

In the year 2084, memories have become something that can be removed and traded thanks to the Sensen technology that is the sole domain of the monolithic Memorize corporation. Protagonist Nilen awakes to find that her memory is wiped and is informed that she used to be one of the leading revolutionaries against Memorize, but without her memories there's no way to be sure.

Polygon's official review of the game found it an ambitious story-driven title with unique mechanics and an enthralling fiction, though the gameplay didn't always live up to the setting of Neo-Paris in the year 2084.

Remember Me is out today for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
