Israel-based developer Plarium is publishing Total Domination: Reborn, a new version of its browser-based strategy title Total Domination, to iOS as a free-to-play title, the company announced.

Reborn uses the original game's theme of "war-as-world-order" and provides players with an open storyline through which to build their own tale. Players can form their own alliances, build colonies and empires from the wreckage of a previously fallen civilization, stockpile weapons and armor for their armies, and strategically plan out their world. Players will also unearth long-lost information and build new technologies with which to equip their military.

The studio plans to push out frequent updates for Total Domination: Reborn to keep the game fresh. These updates will include new units, structures, technology and defensive equipment for players' use.

Plarium notes it has a dedicated community management staff that will work specifically on Total Domination: Reborn, evolving the world and working with players.

"We have created something special at Plarium — the ability to take everything people love about our games on Facebook and social media and optimize it for mobile," said CEO Avi Shalel. "Plarium is committed to bringing rich and engaging original content, as seen with Total Domination, and now hardcore gamers can get a deep, robust mobile experience like never before."

Starting today, Total Domination: Reborn is available on the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Check out the screenshots above for a first look.
