XGen Studios' Mars mining game, Super Motherload, will see a release on the PlayStation 3, with an enhanced version launching on PlayStation 4 shortly after, the developers announced.
The game will release on other platforms following its launch on Sony's platforms. Set on Mars during a alternate Cold-War era, Super Motherload is a couch cooperative "digging" game that supports one to four players. It features a procedurally-generated world, special abilities and customizable mining pods.
"We’re excited about the PS4 system and what this next generation console can offer to Super Motherload players" said CEO and founder Skye Boyes in a statement. "In addition to the ample feature set and gameplay planned for the PS3™, we’re leveraging some very interesting new capabilities of the PS4."
