Report: Leaked Battlefield 4 screenshots show squads, weapons and more

Screenshots leaked online today purporting to be from an alpha version of Battlefield 4 show the game's customization options, squad details, weapons and more.

The gallery of 58 images was posted on Imgur earlier today. Each carries watermarks reading "Mystogan" and an in-game watermark reading "ALPHA TRIAL" in the upper left corner.

The images show the game in action and several interface screenshots that reveal customization options. A screen showing squad selection, for example, shows four slots in addition to the player's, indicating that Battlefield 4 will contain five-man squads. Weapons include an array of knives, primary and secondary weapons, two gadget slots and slots for specialization and camouflage. The gameplay screenshots appear to show large multiplayer arenas early in development without textures on the buildings and skyscrapers throughout. You can check out the full gallery below.

EA Digital Illusions CE's Battlefield 4 is set to launch Oct. 29 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. Electronic Arts will show a live demo for the game during its E3 2013 press briefing, which kicks of on Monday June 10 at 4 p.m. ET. For more on the first-person shooter, check out what we learned at its unveiling in March.

We've reached out to EA for comment and will update this article as more information becomes available.
