Joe Danger Touch developer Hello Games dropped the price of the iOS stunt racing title this week to $0.99 from $2.99, a 66 percent discount, to mark today's launch of the game's "biggest update so far," studio founder Sean Murray told Polygon over email.

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 17 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.
The update, which brings the game to version 1.0.3, introduces a game mode — the Calendar Tour — that effectively doubles the size of the game, according to Murray. The Calendar Tour gives players a new level to try every day, and if they can manage to complete the “pretty tough” stages, they’ll upgrade to a more difficult set of levels the following week.
Finishing daily challenges will also provide players with significant coin rewards with which they can buy extra characters. Today's update brings in five new characters, including a ninja and a pirate, as well as a new Laboratory environment for practice.
