Disgaea 4 heading to Vita in Japan

Nippon Ichi has confirmed that Disgaea 4 is coming to Vita, according to reports. Representatives of the company announced development of the game at an event in Yokohama to celebrate the firm's 20th anniversary.

Disgaea 4, a Vita remake of Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, will arrive in Japan in January next year. The PlayStation 3 version of the game (pictured) launched in the U.S. in 2011. No word yet on a U.S. release date for the Vita game, although Disgaea 3 for Vita was launched in the West in 2012. Polygon has contacted the company's U.S. office NIS America for more information.
