Neverwinter publisher Perfect World debuts browser MMO

Perfect World Entertainment, best known for Star Trek Online and Neverwinter, is set to launch a browser-based strategy title later this week.

Set in the age of discovery, Fortuna is a Civ-like game in which players build an empire from humble beginnings, forging alliances, training armies and conducting trade.

"Fortuna is a first for our company, which has previously focused on publishing client-based PC titles," said Andrew Brown, general manager at Perfect World Entertainment. "As with all our titles, our number one goal is to connect players around the world through games of the highest quality, regardless of platform or genre."

Fortuna will be available on July 18.
