Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut could be coming to Steam following today's announcement from publisher Rising Star Games that the title is now available to vote for on Steam Greenlight.
The Windows PC release includes additional features and content, ranging from enhanced HD graphics and a re-worked control system to a new scenario from game director Hidetaka 'Swery' Suehiro and downloadable content that expands on the story of the original game. Achievements and Steam Trading Cards will also be exclusive to the Steam version.
"Steam's Greenlight process is a first for Rising Star Games and there is nothing better than the cult hit, Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut, to make our mark on it," said COO of Rising Star Games Martin Defries in a prepared statement. "Rising Star Games is an extremely community-driven publisher and our vocal fans have been calling for a PC version of this game, so using Steam Greenlight gives those fans the chance to make a difference."
Steam users can vote for Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut right here.
Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut received 6.5 out of 10 from Polygon, in a review that said: "Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut is built on a shoddy technical foundation, but it's got ambition to spare. Its weirdness reflects and amplifies the underlying mystery, while a host of bizarre characters and the secrets they keep make its problems worth suffering. It may not be the prettiest dog in the show, but it's got heart, and it's one hell of a companion."
