Angry Birds Star Wars will launch on consoles this fall, developer Rovio announced in a video posted to its YouTube channel today.
The game will launch on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on Oct. 29 in the U.S. and on Nov. 1 worldwide.
Angry Birds Stars Wars, which launched last fall and is based on the original Star Wars film trilogy, has been remastered for additional game systems and includes 20 new levels created specifically for these new versions. The game also features new multiplayer modes — two-player co-op and competitive mode for up to four players — and achievement and trophy support as well as leaderboards and new unlockable bonus levels and content.
The game is currently available for pre-order at its official website.
Earlier this week, Rovio announced a sequel, Angry Birds Star Wars 2, would launch for mobiles devices on Sept. 19. This new game will follow the prequel film trilogy in the Star Wars franchise.
