A new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 shows off heroine Lightning's combat prowess and different outfits as she races against the clock to save the world.
Centuries after the events of the original Final Fantasy 13, Lightning has been chosen to "rescue lost souls" and become "a savior." In the trailer, she faces off with a man who claims that he'd committed the "ultimate sin" five centuries earlier, so killing her won't really add anything more to his conscience.
The trailer makes a point of showcasing Lightning's different costumes, which are more than just cosmetic. As Polygon discussed in our earlier preview of Lightning Returns, different outfits provide our heroine with different powers and abilities in combat.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 hits Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next February.
