In the upcoming campaign for Battlefield 4, players will travel the world from Azerbaijan to Shanghai to Singapore, according to a post published today on the Battlefield Blog.
Battlefield 4 set in Azerbaijan, Shanghai and Singapore

In the first-person shooter’s campaign, players become Sergeant Daniel Recker, a member of the Tombstone squad of elite, if “unlikely,” heroes. The story begins in Baku, Azerbaijan, where you’ll battle Russian troops to escape to the USS Valkyrie carrier. Intelligence you’ve gathered points you to China, and you set course for Shanghai, where you face both Chinese and Russian adversaries. Protesters, police and soldiers clash in the Chinese metropolis, where you’ll find a CIA field operative named Laszlo W. Kovic, whose intel leads you to Singapore.
EA DICE’s Battlefield 4 is slated for an Oct. 29 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to follow.
