Abe's Oddysee developer Oddworld Inhabitants is soliciting the help of fans to voice the various Mudokon characters throughout the studio's upcoming title Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty.
Those interested in applying first need a decent microphone, a soundcard or audio interface capable of 24 bit/96 kHz recordings, good cables with no electrical feedback, the script to read out and a SoundCloud account. "Quality is paramount," reads a blurb on the studio's official website, "and if it doesn't meet the standards, it can't go in."
You can read excerpts from the script right here, which includes death screams and pained grunts. Users who are hoping to get their voices in the game are required to record and upload their recordings by July 26, then share the file with the studio's account on SoundCloud. Those chosen will also be immortalized in the game's credits.
New 'n' Tasty is a full remake of the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. The title is launching on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Windows PC and Xbox Live Arcade, and will retail the original level designs and puzzles of the original title but with slight modifications.
