Age of Wonders 3 delayed until 2014

The release of turn-based strategy game Age of Wonder 3 will be delayed until early 2014, developer Triumph Studios announced today on the game's forum.

This upcoming installment in the studio's medieval strategy series was set to launch on Windows PC sometime this fall; however, according to community manager Jimmy van der Have, the studio is taking additional time to continue developing the game.

"When announcing the game earlier in the year we've listed a projected release date of ‘fall' 2013," writes van der Have. "We immediately got questions on this, whether this would be fall in the southern or northern hemisphere, and when pre-orders would start.

"We've made great progress developing the game and feel now is the time to give you heads up that we will take a bit more time creating all the features and content. Age of Wonders 3 is the largest game in the series and with the additional polish we hope we can give you an even better experience!"

Age of Wonders 3 will make an appearance at Gamescom this fall prior to its launch in Q1 next year.
