PopCap auctioning Plants vs. Zombies figures for Child's Play charity

PopCap will auction off two dozen figures painted to resemble the famous zombies of Plants vs. Zombies fame to raise money for the charity Child's Play, the company announced on their website.

The figures are jumbo Munny dolls, 18-inch plastic figures created by American toy company Kidrobot, and have been dressed up in the likeness of antagonists from PopCap's most popular franchise. They have been sculpted and painted by artists from other studios, including BioWare, DICE and Double Fine.

The Munny figures will be on display this weekend at PopCap's booth at Comic-Con International: San Diego. PopCap will auction off the figures on July 22 through eBay's Giving Works website and donate all proceeds to Child's Play.

Many of these figures have also been made to look like zombified version of characters from games published by Electonic Arts — such as Commander Shepard, Faith from Mirror's Edge and Crazy Dave from the original Plants vs. Zombies.
