NBA 2K14 will include the top Euroleague basketball teams

NBA 2K14 will be the first title in the series to feature teams from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague as part of a partnership between 2K Sports and the Euroleague Basketball organization, the companies announced today.

A total of 14 teams will be playable in NBA 2K14 when it launches later this year. These teams include: Alba Berlin, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, CSKA Moscow, EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, FC Barcelona, Fenerbahçe Ülker Istanbul, Laboral Kutxa Vitoria, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, Montepaschi Siena, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, Real Madrid, Unicaja Málaga and Zalgiris Kaunas.

"We're absolutely delighted to welcome top Euroleague teams into the NBA 2K series," said 2K senior vice president of sports operations Jason Argent in a press statement. "European basketball has an incredibly passionate following, and we're all excited to give fans the opportunity to take on Europe's best in NBA 2K14."

"We are very proud to collaborate with 2K Sports by introducing our teams and players into the best basketball video game in the world," added Euroleague Basketball president and CEO Jordi Bertomeu. "With this partnership, we're able to bring fans one step closer to the action by ushering the Euroleague into the global gaming community."

NBA 2K14 will launch for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on Oct. 1. The game will also be a launch title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
