Mad Max to get an Australian accent after fan outcry
Max gets Australian accent

In a tweet posted earlier today, Sundberg wrote: “Attn. fans who want Max to have an Aussie accent in #MadMaxGame: It shall be so. We admire your loyalty. You have been heard.”
The game was revealed at E3 this year, but some vocal fans of the brand expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that all the characters spoke with American accents. In the 1979 film directed by George Miller, Mad Max was set in a dystopic future Australia and starred actors who spoke with Australian accents.
A petition started by Australian gaming publication AusGamers to get Avalanche to hire an Australian to voice Mad Max currently has more than 2,800 signatures.
