New Borderlands 2 DLC, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 and a new level cap of 72 is coming this fall, Gearbox announced at its PAX Australia panel today.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 DLC will be released this fall for $5.00. It includes 11 more levels and Digistruct Peak Challenge, which is a new map, loot and the "ability to 'over level' your game for extra challenges." The DLC will not be part of the Season Pass.
DLC Headhunter Pack:T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest is coming this fall. The Headhunter Pack: T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest DLC includes a new mission and a themed boss fight featuring T.K. Baha — the character was in Borderlands 1 DLC The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned — and a boss fight with Jacques O'Lantern, a Giant pumpkin boss. If players beat the boss, they will be awarded new character customizations.
Pricing for the DLC will be announced later on and it will not be inclusive to the Season Pass. The company also announced that additional Headhunter Packs are slated to release at a later date.
Extra ammo capacity, backpack, bank slots and more customizations for Borderlands 2 characters will be coming later this year as a free update. Extra heads Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is coming "soonsih." Also shown during the Gearbox panel, a new short film for Krieg the Psycho was teased and stars Tiny Tina and Brick as they outsmart Hyperion captivity.
The company also announced that the Gearbox Community Day will be held worldwide on Sept. 14 and will be livestreamed. Interested parties can check out event details on the official website.
