Organizers of QuakeCon 2013 — one of the largest competitive Quake tournaments in the world — revealed the tournament line-up today, which includes Quake Live and Doom.
The tournament will be divided into three categories. The Intel Quake Live Duel Invitational Master will feature known professionals and top Quake Live competitors in an exclusive tournament. Up to 32 of the world's best players will compete for $18,000, and competitors will be hand-picked by event organizers.
There will also be a Quake Live Clan Arena 3v3 tournament, which will be open to everyone. Up to 32 teams will battle it out in a single elimination bracket, with the top two teams advancing to the grand finals. The prize pool for this tournament is $6,000.
A Doom 20th anniversary challenge will also be held, with players competing in free-for-all matches for prizes that include $1,000 for the champion.
Registration for the tournaments is now available at QuakeCon. More information on the tournament can be viewed here. QuakeCon will be held from Aug. 1-4 in Dallas, TX.
